Celpip Writing an Email Sample 301

You have recently lost your companies ID card on the way to your home.

Write a letter to the officer incharge at the local police station  in about 150-200 words. Your email should do the following things

  • Introduce yourself
  • Explain What Happened
  • Request to register your complaint

Greetings, Officer in Charge!

I’m writing to tell you that I lost an ID card for the company where I work. I work for [Company Name] and my name is [Your Name]. I’m writing to tell you that I lost my company ID card. I think I lost it on the way home from work.

I remember leaving my office with my ID card in hand. But when I got home, I noticed that the ID card wasn’t there. I’ve looked everywhere for it, but I haven’t been able to find it. Since the ID card has important information about my company on it, I worry that it will be misused.

So, I’d like you to write down my complaint and do what you need to do to find my lost ID card. I would also like you to send me a copy of the complaint so I can keep track of it. Also, please let me know if someone has found the ID card and turned it in to the police station.

Thank you for giving me a hand with this. I hope you’ll get back to me soon.

Sincerely,

ABC
