When you register for a CELPIP Test, you will receive a test confirmation email in your registered email. Read this email properly to confirm the location, time and date of your test.

1. Valid Photo Identification:
– Your identification document must be unexpired
– Your identification document must be valid
– Your identification document must be original

2. Acceptable identification for the CELPIP-General Test:
– Travel document
– Refugee protection claimant document
– United States Passport Card
– Passport booklet

3. Acceptable identification for the CELPIP-General LS Test:
– Travel document*
– Canadian permanent resident card
– United States Passport Card
– Passport booklet

4. If you are taking the CELPIP Test for Non-IRCC purposes, following identification is acceptable:
– Travel document*
– Refugee protection claimant document*
– Canadian Provincial Driver’s license
– United States Passport Card
– Passport booklet
– Canadian permanent resident card
– Canadian Provincial identification card

5. Unacceptable Identification are:
– Firearms License
– Credit card of any type
– Notary-prepared letter or document
– Student identification card
– Employee identification card
– Temporary identification card
– Driver’s license (allowed for non-IRCC purposes only)
– Canadian health card
– Social Insurance card
– Social Security card
– Any photocopy of a document
– Any expired document
